The Autumn Term 2018 for Sing and Tonic brought wellbeing, singing and laughter as we continued to grow in numbers and so enjoyed our performances.
We had a wonderful workshop day, half way through the term, where all the groups get together for a day of singing and preparation for our Christmas performances. This day is more than just singing as it is a chance for everyone to get to know each other and sing with new friends. There is endless tea and coffee, snacks and a catered lunch so we can all relax! As one of the singers said, when asked how Sing and Tonic makes her feel ...
"This is my happy day" ... brilliant!
We performed twice at the Bewdley Christmas Lights, once on the main stage and once outside our rehearsal venue, St Georg'e Hall, amongst the hubbub of stalls and the crowds ... everyone is so relaxed and enjoys this wonderful community event.
The favoutite song amongst the singers was definitely "This Is Me" from "The Greatest Showman" closely followed by "Let It snow"!!
We also sang in Bromsgrove for the charity "Mental Health UK" and raised an amazing £1,224.87. Many thanks also go to LLoyds Bank Bromsgrove for their support in this.
It was always my wish that Sing and Tonic became part of their communities and that the singers became friends ... but it seems to be more than this with singers also helping and supporting each other in so many ways.
It really has been a very rewarding singing time ... thank you!
