Sing and Tonic is delighted with its new venue for the Worcester group - The Swan Theatre, Worcester.
We started there in April and have been so welcomed by all the staff … it is always great to be part of a positive team! The new CEO of Worcester Live is also working closely with us to develop some more performance opportunities … Christmas will be our first one at this venue and all the singers are looking forward to it!
It is also wonderful to be working in a space where we look out on Worcester race course … singing, laughter, friendship and a great location are all good for your wellbeing.
I try to vary the kind of events we sing at because some of our singers are very nervous about performing. So, we do all kinds of events as you will see from the 3 performances we did this Summer!
Bromsgrove Choirs in the Park … where we bring picnics and enjoy ourselves socialising as well as singing and listening to other choirs.
The Hanbury Countryside Show … there were 15,000 people there! Ok there were not all listening to Sing and Tonic!! A really excellent day!
Worcester Crowngate … our first very informal performance in Worcester where we entertained the shoppers and those at the restaurants nearby … so much so one of them provided coffee and tea for us all afterwards!
Sing and Tonic provides so much more than learning to sing, as one of the singers says - "We come together, chat, laugh and joke and I always come away feeling better than when I arrived. This is even before one considers the benefits of singing.”
Here’s to meeting everyone again soon for our new Autumn sessions!
